Hyde County Government
Hyde County is divided into five townships including Currituck, Fairfield, Lake Landing, Ocracoke and Swan Quarter. A five member Board of Commissioners, one commissioner nominated from each township, but elected countywide, bears the responsibility of serving the people of Hyde County. A County Manager, appointed by the Board of Commissioners, manages county operations on their behalf.
