The Ocracoke Planning Advisory Board consists of seven members - all of whom are selected by the commissioner from Ocracoke, John Fletcher. Board members currently include: Thomas Payne, and Chairman Corky Pentz.
Advisory applies to the OPAB because they are only authorized to advise and make recommendations to the Hyde County Board of Commissioners and have no power or authority to pass or enforce policy or code.
The Ocracoke Planning Advisory Board meets the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM at the Ocracoke Community Center. Meetings are open to the public. Click on the dates below to view agendas and minutes.
