- N.C. Cost Share Program and Tar-Pamlico River Basin Technician -  Hyde County Soil and Water Conservation District Office is seeking a qualified applicant to coordinate and implement the N.C. Agriculture Cost Share Program and assist in carrying out the program. A limited amount of similar work will also be required in Beaufort and Washington counties due to rule requirements. Position will perform administrative and technical work in developing plan to assist farmers and landowners in achieving nutrient reduction goals in local management strategies and regulations. Responsibilities include program promotion and compliance, application processes, contract development and installation, record keeping and easement monitoring. Technical and engineering assistance will be required to assist landowners and users with the installation of best management practices. Position requires an Associate’s Degree in agriculture, engineering, forestry, natural resources or closely related field and/or one to two years of equivalent combination of training and experience. Starting salary range is $31,686 to $37,000.
