Public Hearing - Ocracoke Ordinance for Abandoned Vessels

03/21/2018 - On Monday, April 2, 2018 beginning at 6:00p.m. (or as soon thereafter as possible) the Hyde County Board of Commissioners will conduct public hearing on “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 26 Of The Hyde County Code To Prohibit The Abandonment Of Vessels In The Navigable Waters Of Ocracoke Harbor, Commonly Known As Silver Lake”.  The hearing will take place at the Hyde County Government Center, Multi­Use Room, 30 Oyster Creek Rd, Swan Quarter, NC and the Ocracoke Community Center, 999 Irvin Garrish Highway using electronic conferencing equipment.

Citizens will be given the opportunity to provide oral and written comment on the abandonment of vessels in the navigable waters of Ocracoke Harbor at the public hearing. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
